Notes, highlights and studies

Your connected library

Sign in, save passages, and keep personal study material together.

Steps

  1. On web, open Dashboard then Notes, highlights & studies. In mobile builds with My Library, open it from the side menu and sign in through the account page in your system browser. On the consent screen, choose Connect app to continue or Cancel to leave without connecting this device.
  2. Your existing verse collections use the same account on both devices. Open a saved reference to read the passage. Reading and search do not require login.
  3. On mobile, use Save / Note / Highlight from the reader, check or edit the passage reference, then save it to a collection or create an annotation.
  4. Create a note or highlight for a passage such as John 3:16-18. Highlights appear in supported readers after refresh. Notes are plain text, not Scripture.
  5. Create a study with a title and introduction, add sections containing passages and observations, and move sections up to arrange the outline.
  6. New notes, highlights and studies are private by default. Existing collections keep their existing web visibility; saving a note does not make that note part of a public collection.
  7. An internet connection is required to load and save the account library. Offline editing and automatic conflict resolution are not available. If another device changed a document, preserve your draft and reopen the current version before applying your edits.
  8. Editors pause typing while a save is in progress. If saving fails, your draft stays available for correction or retry.
  9. Signing out clears the account session on that device, not reading History or reader settings. Uninstalling is not required.
  10. If the saved account session is invalid, sign in again; reader settings and History remain on your device.
  11. Sharing is a later feature. When Manage sharing is available, owners can explicitly grant view or edit access to a named account and remove it again. A shared study includes all its sections; copied text cannot be recalled.
  12. Owners can remove access even when a recipient account is disabled. New access can only be granted to active accounts.
  13. These instructions describe the connected-library update, not TestFlight builds 59 or 60. Mobile sign-in requires that update and the matching account service to be available.
